WATCH: Israel Strikes Tehran

Reports from the Arab press during the late-night hours in the Middle East indicate that Israel has responded to missile fire launched by Iran toward its territory. According to a statement by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, Israel has begun a military operation inside Iranian territory. As of now, no official declaration of war has been made by either country.

According to Almog Boker of Israeli Channel 12, the operation is named "Am KeLavi" - its objective: to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat. Nir Dvori of Israeli Channel 12, reported that "The Air Force has been preparing for this operation for years! The objective - to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat. All coordinated with the United States."

According to available footage, the targets struck in the past hour do not appear to be nuclear facilities, though they may include sites linked to Iran's nuclear program.
