Israel Launches Massive Preemptive Strike on Iran: “The Window of Opportunity Is Closing”
Overnight (Israel time), the State of Israel launched a large-scale preemptive aerial operation targeting Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure. The operation, named “Am K’Lavi” (“Nation Like a Lion”), was initiated based on intelligence assessments indicating that Iran is just days away from achieving operational nuclear capability.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft struck multiple high-value targets across Iran, including facilities linked to its nuclear program. The IDF stressed that the operation was carefully coordinated with Israel’s political leadership and was carried out with intelligence cooperation from the United States.
Prime Minister Netanyahu gave an offical statement saying: “If we do not act now, we simply will not be here. ‘Never Again’ is now. We have internalized the lessons of history. When the enemy says he intends to destroy you - believe him.”
In a direct message to the Iranian people, Netanyahu added:

In an official statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said:
“Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We were not involved in the strikes. Our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel informed us it believes this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close coordination with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran must not target American personnel or interests.”
IDF: Precision Strikes Based on High-Quality Intelligence
IDF Spokesperson stated that the operation was launched under the direction of the political echelon. The goal was to neutralize Iran’s nuclear threat and respond to ongoing Iranian aggression against Israel.
“The Iranian regime is the central axis behind the attacks on Israel since the start of the ‘Iron Swords’ war. It is responsible for arming and funding Hamas and other proxies, and it has directly attacked Israel with missiles and UAVs during this war.”

Defense Minister Israel Katz has signed an order declaring a special emergency situation on the home front, effective across the entire State of Israel. The Home Front Command has instructed all civilians to stay close to protected areas and follow real-time updates.
