Trump is right to ignore Europe

The Free Ride is Over: Trump Calls Europe’s Bluff

Decades of European hypocrisy have finally met their match in an American President who refuses to play by their broken rules.

Finally, someone has handed Europe the bill.

For decades, Europe has wandered the global stage, projecting its own unresolved trauma onto the rest of the world. It is a continent that loves to preach morality to everyone else, conveniently forgetting that it is the very same continent, particularly its central and eastern regions, that pushed humanity into moral abysses previously unknown to mankind.

Now, Donald Trump has arrived. He isn’t just telling Europe the uncomfortable truth; he is demonstrating it through action. By rejecting the validation of the European elite, symbolized by the Nobel committee and the diplomatic establishment, Trump is effectively telling the Europeans: "You do not truly know or believe in peace. Because of that, I see no reason to believe in your definition of it. I will operate under my own American value system, one that is not beholden to your norms or your hierarchy of ideas".

The media elites in Europe, and certainly the baffled journalists in the United States, simply do not understand this. They mistake strategy for chaos. They call Trump "capricious"; others go as far as calling him "demented."

They just don't get the game.

They fail to understand that Trump never counted their criticism in the first place. He realized long ago that this criticism comes from empty vessels, institutions with a fundamentally broken moral compass. Trump’s logic is piercingly simple: "I stopped eight wars, and you didn't give me a Nobel Peace Prize. If that is the reality, why the hell should your criticism hold any value whatsoever?"

In this regard, Trump is not wrong. Barack Obama received a Nobel Peace Prize while he was actively managing two wars. Trump, who worked to freeze conflicts and bring troops home, received nothing but scorn from the European establishment.

In the current geopolitical reality, there is no choice but to admit the obvious: Trump is shattering the rotten bubble that Europe has created for itself since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and even before.

He is stripping away the pretense of European moral superiority. Can anyone really blame him?
