France rugby player Melvin Jaminet was suspended from his team after a blunt statement in a story he posted on his Instagram account. Jamina recorded himself walking down the street saying: "The first Arab I see, I'll knock his head with a helmet."

The 25-year-old rugby player has made 20 appearances for the French national team and plays for Toulon. His words sparked much controversy and the French Rugby Union suspended him and published an official statement: "Such statements are unacceptable and contrary to the values of our domain."

Jaminet apologized and deleted the video, but it was circulated on other accounts. "I understand that I have offended many people," he wrote in the apology message, "I want to make it clear that the things I said do not express my values and those of the French rugby team. Racism is unacceptable in any form and goes against everything I believe in."
