Reported around 6:40 a.m., the flags prompted an immediate response from the Heath Department of Public Safety, which removed them, while the City of Heath launched a full investigation. At Monday’s school board meeting, trustee Grant DuBois spoke on behalf of the board, denouncing the act as “a hateful act that does not reflect the values of our district,” and commended the students who alerted authorities, urging the community to assist in holding the perpetrators “fully accountable.”
