Two Missing: Boy, 6, and Man, 26, Police Seek Public Help

Israel Police issued two separate urgent appeals on Monday for public assistance in locating two missing persons classified as at-risk. Both individuals are from haredi communities and disappeared in different parts of the country, with police requesting anyone with information about their whereabouts to call the 100 emergency hotline.

The first missing person is Gilad Yosef, 26, a resident of Rishon LeZion, who was last seen Friday evening near Yehuda HaLevi Street in Rishon LeZion. According to the police spokesperson, a report was received and the family has authorized publication of his disappearance.

Yosef is described as 1.65 meters tall, medium build, wearing glasses, with short brown hair and a beard. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the 100 emergency hotline or the Kfar Saba police station at 09-7473444.

Police simultaneously issued a second appeal regarding another at-risk missing person: Yossi Bloy, a 6-year-old boy last seen in the area of Moshav Agur. According to the description released by police, the child was wearing a blue and pink striped shirt, brown shorts, and may be without shoes.

Anyone with information about the child's whereabouts is asked to contact the 100 emergency hotline or the Mateh Yehuda police station via the station log at 02-9902385. Police attached a photograph of the missing child to their announcement.

Thousands of missing persons cases are opened in Israel each year, with the vast majority resolved through rapid location. However, a small percentage of cases require extended search efforts and cooperation from the broader public. Police emphasize that any detail, even if it seems minor, could prove significant in locating the missing individuals and returning them home safely.

In recent months, police have handled several missing persons cases in the haredi community, with some located safely after extensive search efforts. Just weeks ago, two young brothers who went missing from a Gush Etzion community were found sleeping under a tree after hundreds of volunteers participated in the search.
