India reiterates call for "immediate and unconditional" release of hostages
India also stressed the need for a ceasefire, increased humanitarian assistance, and for restraint and diplomacy in handling the conflict.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced a meeting of its representative, Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Mishri, with Foreign Ministry Director-General Yaakov Blidstein today (Wednesday).
During the meeting, the two discussed interests and concerns shared by both countries and the situation in both the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific.
India stressed its support for Israel after October 7 and its call for "unconditional and immediate" release of all the hostages, as well as for a ceasefire, increased humanitarian aid, and the use of restraint and diplomacy to prevent escalation.
