Massive SNAP fraud in Lakewood: Over $100K stolen in skimming scheme 

A shocking wave of thefts has left many families in Lakewood struggling after more than $100,000 in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits were stolen in what appears to be a large-scale skimming scheme.

The fraudulent operation, which has unfolded over the past several days, is believed to be linked to a local kosher food store. Sources indicate that the store in question has been identified, and its owner is reportedly cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.

Early reports suggest that a sophisticated card skimming device was used to capture EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card details, allowing criminals to drain accounts of much-needed funds.
