Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed campaigned at at least five Islamic centers with histories of extremist rhetoric, including calls for the annihilation of Jews and descriptions of the U.S. as the "House of Satan," the New York Post reports. At a March 2026 Ramadan gathering at the Islamic Center of Detroit, where El-Sayed collected ballot signatures, a closing prayer called on Allah to take the "worst revenge" against Zionists.
