Security tensions in the north heightened this evening as the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Hezbollah carried out a series of attacks, constituting blatant violations of the current ceasefire agreement. The military initially reported the siren alerts in Kfar Yuval and Ma’ayan Baruch as a potential false alarm, but a subsequent investigation confirmed that the alerts were triggered by a real threat. An unmanned aerial vehicle launched from Lebanon was successfully intercepted before it could cross into Israeli territory.

Simultaneously, Hezbollah forces fired several rockets toward Israeli troops currently operating in the Rab al-Thalathine area of southern Lebanon. In an immediate tactical response, the IDF identified the source of the fire and struck the rocket launcher within minutes. The military noted that these actions represent the first significant breach of the ceasefire since it took effect. The security establishment remains on high alert, emphasizing that these incidents are a clear violation of the terms established to maintain stability along the northern border.

Hezbollah has since claimed responsibility for firing at IDF forces, claiming it was in response to ceasefire violations, according to reports
