In a dramatic announcement, IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Efi Dafrin confirmed that the Israeli Air Force has completed a wave of strikes targeting 12 missile launch and storage sites deep inside Iran, all of which had been used to fire at Israeli civilians.
According to Dafrin, the strikes were directed by IDF Military Intelligence and focused on areas believed to house underground infrastructure.
“Sixty aircraft are currently striking Iranian territory, including the region responsible for most of the recent launches toward Israel,” Dafrin stated. “There are no more sanctuary cities in the Middle East.”
The IDF also explained its decision to cancel “pre-launch alerts” before incoming missile warnings, citing operational limitations.
“You can’t always detect preparations in time,” Dafrin said. “And we must not become reliant on alerts.”
He also addressed widespread public concern over gaps in basic soldier protection:
“We are listening to the concerns of soldiers and parents. Each base is conducting regular assessments to ensure safety. We are working hard to close any protection gaps.”
The strikes mark a significant escalation in Israel’s campaign to neutralize Iran’s missile capabilities, as dozens of aircraft reportedly remain stationed in Iranian skies — especially over the Isfahan region — ready to intercept further launch attempts.
