The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a scathing condemnation on Monday following a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks that targeted civilian infrastructure across the country. In an official statement, the Ministry characterized the strikes as "treacherous and terrorist," asserting that they constitute a dangerous and unacceptable escalation. The government in Abu Dhabi made it clear that these actions pose a direct threat to the security, stability, and territorial integrity of the Emirates, violating the core principles of international law and the UN Charter.

"The United Arab Emirates will not show tolerance toward any harm to its security and sovereignty, under any circumstances," the Ministry stated, emphasizing that the nation is now operating under a policy of legitimate self defense. The statement further clarified that the UAE reserves the full legal right to respond to these attacks in a manner that ensures the protection of its national security and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors. This rhetoric marks a significant hardening of the Emirati position, as the country moves away from mere defensive posturing toward active consideration of retaliatory measures against the Iranian regime.

A high-ranking official from the UAE reportedly informed CNN that the government expects a major American or Israeli strike on Iran within the next 24 hours. This expectation follows a day of chaos where three missiles were intercepted over the Emirates and a drone strike in Fujairah wounded three Indian nationals. Additionally, an Emirati security official spoke with N12, confirming that they do not intend to remain silent. "The Iranian regime has started to attack us, we will hit them back," the official warned. As the regional war heats up, the UAE appears ready to transition from a target to an active participant in the military effort to dismantle Iranian aggression.
