Now, in season two, Motek faces even thornier challenges. The party is rocked by the departure of Eguz Bazalt, replaced by Hanna Hanina Hanan, who shakes things up by demanding primaries. Meanwhile, Alex Turtsin — whom Motek helped land in jail — attempts a moral rebirth and seeks her cooperation.
The new season introduces multi-layered conflicts. The “Ahitophel Institute” tries to enlist Motek to lead legislation that would allow every citizen to bear arms. At the same time, her personal life collides with her public duties: her rekindled romance with childhood sweetheart Tish leads to a marriage proposal — just as Motek is set to chair a Knesset debate on the controversial gas framework, potentially putting her in a conflict of interest.
The series is created by veteran writer Shmuel Hasfari, known for the acclaimed trilogy *Kiddush, Hametz, and Shiva* and *Isha Ba’al Bayit*. It’s directed by comedy legend Eitan Zur (*HaHamishiya HaKamerit*, *HaBurganim*) with a script by Arieh Hasfari and production by Herzliya Studios.
The ensemble cast features a dynamic mix of talent, including Gili Itskovitch as Motek, alongside Avi Kushnir, Yaniv Biton, Lital Schwartz, Ruth Asarsai, Naomi Levov, Anat Waxman, Daniel Gad, Yakir Shukrun, Anna Dubrovitsky, Yigal Adika, Udi Persi, Ofira Rahamim, and more.
