Car Ramming Attack in Binyamin: 13-Year-Old Boy Targeted Near Popular Spring

A 13-year-old Israeli boy was injured on Sunday evening in what security forces are investigating as a deliberate car-ramming terror attack in the Binyamin region. The incident occurred near the Ateret Spring, a popular local spot, when a vehicle driven by an Arab suspect reportedly veered toward the teenager before speeding away from the scene. While the boy escaped with relatively minor injuries, the incident has triggered a massive military response, with the Israel Defense Forces imposing a strict lockdown on nearby Palestinian urban centers to prevent the suspect's escape.

The emergency began at approximately 6:06 PM when Magen David Adom received reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Route 465 near the community of Ateret. Medics who arrived at the scene found the victim conscious but suffering from a localized injury to his arm. Orly Shlomo, an MDA emergency medic, described the initial moments of the rescue, noting that the 13-year-old remained fully alert throughout the ordeal. "The injured boy was brought to us in full consciousness," Shlomo said. "He told us that a vehicle hit him and left the location. We began a preliminary medical assessment and noticed he had a light injury to his hand." The boy was stabilized on-site and then evacuated by ambulance to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem for further testing and treatment for a suspected fracture.

In response to the suspected attack, the IDF immediately heightened the security level across the sector. A military spokesperson confirmed that a manhunt is currently being conducted to locate the driver of the suspicious vehicle, who is believed to be a terrorist. To facilitate the search, the military has placed a "keter," or a security envelope, around the cities of Ramallah and Birzeit. These closures are intended to prevent any suspects from blending into the local population or finding refuge while the investigation is ongoing.

Security forces are currently reviewing local surveillance footage and collecting evidence from the roadside to determine the exact path of the vehicle.
