Hezbollah has launched a new type of fiber-optic guided FPV drone toward the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona, Israeli media reported. This marks the first confirmed use of this advanced drone model by the terror group.

According to Channel 14 and other Israeli outlets, the drone is:

The launch was part of a larger barrage of around 40 drones fired at northern Israel yesterday. One of the optical drones crashed in a yard in Kiryat Shmona with no injuries reported.

This represents a clear upgrade in Hezbollah’s drone capabilities, adopting fiber-optic technology that has proven highly effective in other conflicts.

The IDF is investigating the incident as tensions along the northern border remain high.
