Elite elements from the 7th Armored Brigade and the specialized Egoz commando unit have completed a massive, high-intensity offensive to clear the northern Salouki River basin in southern Lebanon. Operating under the direct command of the 36th Division, the combined arms operation succeeded in establishing total operational control over a primary forward defensive line. The strategic theater had long been utilized as a primary launchpad for launching cross-border attacks against sovereign communities.

The primary objective of the valley campaign was to permanently eliminate immediate threats directed at the Galilee Panhandle and the vulnerable border town of Metula. The rugged terrain of the Salouki River had been heavily modified by Hezbollah, who transformed the natural gorges into an intricate network for launching kamikaze drones and heavy indirect fire packages. Due to the severe geographical challenges of the valley, the area was classified as an essential stronghold for hostile operations.

During the intense clearing operations, infantry units engaged in fierce, close-quarters combat against terrorist cells entrenched inside reinforced bunkers and hidden cave systems. Working in seamless coordination with precision air support provided by the air force, ground troops successfully neutralized over 50 hostile operatives during the multi-day engagement. The clearing squads systematically dismantled hundreds of interconnected military installations, including underground storage depots and command bunkers.

Search operations inside the captured sectors yielded an immense bounty of advanced weaponry, which was immediately cataloged and confiscated by engineering teams. Soldiers uncovered large stockpiles of improvised explosive devices, advanced anti-tank guided missiles, and heavy deployment launchers that were primed for immediate use against civilian targets. The military confirmed that the seizure of these assets has completely crippled the immediate combat capabilities of local terrorist units.

The defense establishment issued an official briefing confirming that the capture of the northern Salouki River valley represents a major milestone in strengthening operational dominance over southern Lebanon. Commanders emphasized that the military will maintain a permanent, aggressive presence in the cleared sectors to ensure that terrorist organizations cannot return to rebuild their shattered infrastructure. The forward push continues across multiple sectors, with troops remaining highly vigilant to guarantee the long-term security of northern residents.
