Countdown to Chaos: Hamas Threatens to Sabotage Gaza Aid Lifeline
As Israel races to expand humanitarian aid in Gaza, IDF assessments warn that Hamas may soon target the new distribution centers, threatening both infrastructure and civilians.

According to IDF assessments, Hamas is expected to quickly learn the operational methods of the aid distribution centers and attempt to disrupt their functionality. The primary concern is that these centers, currently built on earthen embankments and concrete barriers, could become targets for terrorist attacks.
Military sources told Walla that the IDF had hoped for additional time before activating the centers to enhance and upgrade their security measures. However, improvements are anticipated in the coming days. Southern Command Chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir personally visited the sites to inspect the centers and evaluate their infrastructure.
Questions remain about how family representatives will reach the distribution centers on foot, given their distance of several kilometers from shelter areas, and how food distribution will be managed for the elderly, displaced, vulnerable, and disabled populations. The involvement of international aid organizations also remains unclear. According to information received by Walla, Hamas is exerting significant pressure on these organizations to refrain from cooperating.
