Massive Strikes in Lebanon: IDF Bombs Hezbollah Tunnels, Smoke Seen for Miles

The IDF launched a new wave of airstrikes Thursday morning in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah positions in the Zaharani region, north of Nabatieh. The attacks mark an escalation in Israel's ongoing military campaign against the Iran-backed group.

According to reports in the Lebanese media, a number of enormous smoke mushrooms began to rise in the area, after the IDF attack.

These are Hezbollah weapons depots, which were not handed over to the South Lebanese army, as required by the cease-fire agreement.

The target of the attacks in southern Lebanon is Hezbollah tunnels, according to Al-Arabiya.

On Tuesday, the IDF killed from the air a senior member of Hezbollah's Badr Force, who was engaged in rebuilding the terror infrastructure in the area. An aircraft attacked him while he was in his car in the village of Rumman in the northern part of southern Lebanon, about 15 kilometers from the border with Israel.

During the ceasefire in Lebanon, the IDF continues to attack ammunition depots and eliminate Hezbollah terrorists who engage in terrorism. It should be recalled that last week the IDF attacked an unusually large precision missile depot in the heart of Beirut's Dahiya, and throughout the period it has been eliminating senior and junior Hezbollah terrorists engaged in the use of terror from the air.
