The Israeli military launched a heavy wave of aerial bombardments across Lebanon on Thursday, targeting critical Hezbollah weapon storage facilities and terrorist infrastructure in both the south and deep within the country’s interior. These operations come as part of an ongoing mission to dismantle the group's capabilities and prevent its illegal attempts to rebuild its military presence. Among the high value targets destroyed was a sophisticated underground warehouse used by the terror organization to hide advanced weaponry from aerial surveillance. According to military officials, the sites were being used by Hezbollah to prepare and promote terrorist activities directed at Israeli civilians and security forces, representing a clear threat to national safety.

Before the strikes began, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) took extensive measures to reduce the risk to the Lebanese civilian population. This included the use of precision guided munitions, advanced aerial surveillance, and specific warnings issued to residents in the vicinity of the targets. Roughly one hour before the bombs fell, the IDF’s Arabic language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued an urgent evacuation order for citizens in the villages of Sahmar and Mashghara. The military urged people to move at least 300 meters away from specific buildings marked in red on distributed maps. "The IDF will attack in the near future military infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization, in order to deal with its forbidden attempts to restore its activity in the area," the warning stated, making it clear that remaining in these structures would be life threatening.

The military emphasized that Hezbollah’s continued activity at these sites is a direct violation of the standing understandings between Israel and Lebanon. By attempting to restore its combat capabilities and stockpile missiles, the group is seen as sabotaging regional stability. The IDF noted that it would continue to act aggressively to remove any active threats. "The activity of Hezbollah at these sites, intended to rehabilitate the organization's capabilities, constitutes a violation of the understandings and a threat to the security of the State of Israel," the military spokesperson confirmed.

This latest surge in air activity follows a pattern of precise strikes against the group's logistics chain. While Hezbollah has attempted to move its operations into civilian residential areas to use the population as human shields, Israeli intelligence has continued to pinpoint these hidden caches. The IDF has pledged to maintain its high state of readiness, ensuring that any move by the terrorists to rearm or launch attacks will be met with immediate and overwhelming force. As the war continues, the focus remains on ensuring that Hezbollah cannot return to the border areas to threaten Israeli northern communities.
