IDF investigating attack killing 9 children, says much online "footage" AI
A senior IDF officer speaking to Israeli media said that the circumstances are unclear.

A senior IDF officer speaking to Kann News said that the IDF strike which reportedly killed 9 children at Nasser Hospital is being investigated, as the cause remains unclear.
According to the report: "A senior IDF official familiar with the Gaza campaign said that an Air Force aircraft struck a building in Khan Younis, an area that the IDF announced the evacuation of about two months ago - and is considered a combat zone, however in the strike the munition did not explode and is considered a dud. According to the senior official, it cannot be known whether the munition exploded later and caused casualties. The IDF says that the strike was originally against four armed terrorists who were identified from the air."
In other words, it's not clear whether a direct strike killed the family or whether it set off a dud unintentionally.
The report continued: "The IDF says that a significant portion of the documentation that was circulated on social networks in Gaza and from there also in Arab media was made using AI or was taken from old footage.
"The IDF continues to investigate the incident through senior officers."
