The three soldiers who did in Jebaliya from an "operational accident" were killed by a tank shell which was improperly handled, and contrary to safety procedures, according to Kann News' report today (Tuesday):

According to the report, "last year, a directive was distributed that prohibited the loader from holding a shell in his hands in the turret as part of readiness for immediate firing of an additional shell after firing, as was customary in the past. However, in the current case, the shell that was with the loader was removed from the cannon in order to enable rapid and immediate firing toward a building where there were terrorists - a different event from which the IDF will need to learn lessons."
