IDF Officer Seriously Wounded, Sergeant Lightly Hurt in Jenin Bomb Blast
An IDF officer was seriously wounded and a sergeant lightly injured after terrorists detonated a planted explosive device during an IDF operation in Jenin Thursday.

An IDF officer was seriously wounded and a sergeant lightly injured Thursday after a planted explosive device detonated during an operational activity in the Jenin area of the Menashe Brigade sector in Judea and Samaria, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed.
Forces were operating in the city to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and apprehend wanted suspects when the powerful device, planted by terrorists, detonated directly among the troops.
Both soldiers received immediate medical treatment on the scene from military medical personnel and were evacuated by helicopter to hospital for further care. Their families have been notified.
The IDF stated that operational activity in the area will continue with determination to dismantle terrorist cells and prevent attacks inside Israel.
Jenin and the Menashe Brigade sector have become among the most complex terror flashpoints in Judea and Samaria in recent years, with terrorist organizations regularly planting roadside bombs and explosive devices beneath roads and in alleyways targeting IDF vehicles and infantry forces.
