The Hezbollah terror group has officially claimed responsibility for a deadly cross-border attack on the northern community of Misgav Am this morning. In a statement released shortly after the incident, the group asserted that it targeted a "gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers" with a rocket barrage at approximately 8:00 a.m.

The IDF confirmed that fire from Lebanon struck two vehicles in the area at that time, resulting in the death of one man. Military officials are currently investigating whether the fatal strike was caused by a rocket barrage, as claimed by Hezbollah, or a precision anti-tank guided missile.

According to United Hatzalah emergency responders, the strike occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m., resulting in a direct hit that caused the vehicle to burst into flames.

"The driver was trapped in the vehicle, which caught fire as a result of a direct hit," reported United Hatzalah EMTs Dvir Levi and Lior Vaknin. "Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries."

A 58-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, managed to escape the burning wreckage quickly. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being transported by a United Hatzalah ambulance to Ziv Medical Center in Safed in stable condition.
