Tensions on Israel's northern border escalated sharply today, as Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets toward northern communities, resulting in direct hits and multiple injuries.

During targeted ground operations overnight, soldiers from the Givati Brigade's Combat Team (under the 91st Division) identified a cell of armed Hezbollah terrorists in Southern Lebanon.

Givati troops eliminated one terrorist in a direct exchange of fire. Forces directed an Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft to strike several additional terrorists who were firing at the troops. Following the aerial strike, the unit utilized tank fire to eliminate three more terrorists.

The IDF confirmed there were no casualties to Israeli forces during these encounters.
