"The chareidim are my brothers"

Topaz Luk reposted an AI-generated image showing haredi leaders as aristocrats with Liberman serving them, then deleted it and clarified: The chareidim are my brothers, a community with a huge heart

Topaz Luk, a close adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, sparked a storm Tuesday morning after reposting content on X that depicted haredi party leaders in a mocking light, then quickly deleted the post and issued a clarification.

Luk had shared a post from an account called "The Citadel," which publishes "exposés and leaks from behind the scenes in Likud." The post was captioned "Going viral: 'Liberman's servant alliance'" and featured an AI-generated image showing the heads of the haredi parties, Aryeh Deri, Yaakov Asher and Yitzhak Goldknopf, seated as aristocrats with whiskey glasses and cigars, while Avigdor Liberman appeared to be serving them.

After the repost drew sharp reactions, Luk deleted it and posted a clarification: "I see there are people getting worked up over a repost that was done by mistake."

"Let there be no mistakes," Luk added. "I love the chareidi public, I appreciate them and I am in warm contact with many of them. For me they are brothers, partners and an inseparable part of Israeli society and our camp. This is a community with a huge heart. A community that volunteers, saves lives, helps families and takes care of those who need help, without asking questions. People who love the state, want its success and contribute to it every day. I know this up close."

Topaz Luk went on to write: "Liberman, Lapid and Bennett have made political capital for years from incitement against the chareidi public. Liberman even talked about throwing haredim into the sea. These things must not be forgotten. Thank you for your attention."
