A violent confrontation unfolded in the Balata refugee camp near Nablus when two Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers during a counterterrorism operation, wounding four soldiers. The incident, reported around 1:30 p.m. local time, occurred in an alley as the IDF’s elite Duvdevan commando unit (Unit 217) was managing an operational setback in the area.
According to the IDF, the terrorists attempted to seize a soldier’s weapon, engaging in close-quarters combat. One terrorist fired approximately five shots toward the ground before a soldier drew a pistol and neutralized both assailants, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
