Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio concluded an expanded meeting in Jerusalem on Monday, where they presented a unified public message on Iran's nuclear ambitions and the future of Hamas. The talks also addressed efforts to secure the release of hostages.
The high-level meeting at the Prime Minister's Office included Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, as well as both the U.S. and Israeli Ambassadors.
Netanyahu's 'You Can't Hide' Warning
Addressing the recent strike on Hamas in Doha, Netanyahu said Israel was still gathering reports on the outcome. However, he delivered a direct message to the group's leadership.
"The strike sent a clear message to Hamas leaders: 'You can try to run, but we will find you,'" Netanyahu said.
The prime minister also stated that chants of "Death to America, death to Israel" from Iran were now "less threatening than before," citing Operation “Im KeLavi” and a recent American strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. He added that Israel has "no greater ally than the United States."
