Stage Two Begins

Beyond the Initial Strike: Zamir Promises "Surprising Moves" Still to Come

Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has announced that the first phase of Operation Lion’s Roar is complete, with the majority of Iran’s missile launchers and air defenses successfully decimated.

In a historic and televised address, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir declared that the first stage of the war against Iran has been a resounding success, achieving near-total aerial superiority over the Islamic Republic. Zamir revealed that the opening move of the war was a surgical decapitation strike that neutralized 40 senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in just 40 seconds. Since that opening salvo six days ago, the Israeli Air Force has conducted 2,500 sorties and dropped over 6,000 munitions on strategic targets. As the military transitions to "Stage Two," the focus will shift from neutralizing immediate threats to the total destruction of the regime's military foundations and political infrastructure.

Achieving Absolute Aerial Superiority

The speed and scale of the air campaign have left the Iranian military in a state of strategic paralysis. Zamir reported that within the first 24 hours, Israeli pilots "paved the road to Tehran" by destroying approximately 80% of Iran's air defense systems. This has allowed for a sustained campaign against the regime's most dangerous assets: its ballistic missiles. To date, the IDF claims to have neutralized or destroyed more than 60% of Iran's ballistic missile launchers. "This is a most significant achievement that reduces the damage to the home front and saves many lives," Zamir said, though he cautioned that every remaining missile is still a deadly threat.

An Unprecedented Military Alliance

One of the most striking aspects of Zamir’s speech was his emphasis on the deep synchronization with the United States military. Working "shoulder to shoulder" with General Dan Kane and Admiral Brad Cooper, the IDF is operating as part of a unified front. "The U.S. Army and the IDF, the two strongest armies in the world, control the skies of the world's largest terror state," Zamir quoted Admiral Cooper as saying. This collaboration has allowed the coalition to strip the regime of its capabilities and bring it to a point of strategic isolation and weakness that it has never experienced in its 47-year history. Zamir also took a moment to express deep condolences for American soldiers who have fallen during the campaign.

The Next Phase of the War

The Chief of Staff warned that the regime should not expect a ceasefire anytime soon. Instead, the military is preparing for "surprising moves" that have yet to be revealed. The goal of the next phase is to intensify the damage to the very foundations of the regime. Zamir argued that waiting any longer to strike would have allowed Iran to enter a "zone of immunity" where they could have threatened the free world without consequence. "We will pursue our enemies, all of them, and we will reach them," he promised. The strategy is now focused on ensuring that the Iranian regime can never recover its ability to threaten regional stability or the survival of the State of Israel.
