Powerful Explosion Heard in Eilat

Initial assessments point to an IDF drone having crashed. Medics and paramedics are treating 7 anxiety cases, no reports of physical injuries.

An initial report of a powerful explosion heard just now (Thursday) at an Eilat school. Circumstances are being investigated. Currently, the explosion is believed to be the result of a crashed IDF drone.

According to the police, “officers of the Eilat area including police bomb squad officers, are working right now in the city of Eilat, due to fear of a security event. Police forces are deployed and blocking and directing the movement of vehicles to alternate routes. The public is requested to avoid coming and listen to police instructions.

Magen David Adom reported that medics and paramedics are providing medical treatment for 7 anxiety cases; no physical injuries have been reported.
