Israel-Gaza War, Terror Tunnels

According MAKO's Shai Levy, the tunnel that penetrated 500 meters into Israeli territory and the IDF claimed was under its control was used by terrorists to attack soldiers.

According to MAKO military reporter Shai Levy, despite the IDF's announcement that a Hamas terror tunnel that was uncovered in Israeli territory had been neutralized and even booby-trapped with explosives to deter an attack, we have learned that it was indeed used to target IDF forces and even caused deaths and injuries.

Following the revelation that there was indeed a well-known tunnel that crossed about 500 meters into Israeli territory, Shai Levy reported that Hamas terrorists used the tunnel to attack Israeli forces both on the Israeli side of the tunnel and within Gaza proper.

Among the attacks was an incident in which terrorists wounded a number of IDF soldiers and killed Sergeant Tamir Barak (H"YD).

It was earlier reported that the IDF has been lying to the media and Israeli public for the past five years, denying that any Hamas tunnels crossed Israel's southern border.
