IDF Captain Yarden Zakay succumbs to his wounds
Captain Zakai was severely injured in Gaza and fought for his life for a month and a half. Tragically, he succumbed to his wounds and passed away.

The IDF Spokesperson announced this morning (Friday) that Captain Yarden Zakay, age 21, from Hadera, a platoon commander in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, has passed away.
Zakay was severely injured on September 17, 2024 during battle in the southern Gaza Strip. He has been fighting for his life ever since, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
He was posthumously promoted from Lieutenant to Captain.
