Gallant is gone, but not forgotten

IDF confirms: 7,000 ultra-orthodox draft notices to be issued Sunday

Gallant may be gone, but his orders to draft Haredim remain in place. Last time though, many orders were issued and the Haredim didn't come– will things be different this time around?

The IDF announced today it will proceed with ex-Defense Minister Gallant's directive to issue 7,000 draft notices to ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) youth this Sunday.

Military officials emphasized they are acting in accordance with existing law and current political directives, which remain unchanged.

The officials also confirmed that the Haredi recruitment administration will continue to operate at this time.
