IDF operations in northern Gaza are reaching an audible fever pitch as multiple citizens and reporters have noted hearing explosions as far away as Petach Tikvah and Jerusalem tonight (Thursday/Friday).

Channel 13 reporter Almog Boker said that "the explosions being heard around the country - are proper and important activity of the IDF in the Gaza Strip."

Channel 14 military correspondent Hallel Bitton Rosen said somewhat tongue in cheek that "Givati soldiers are sorry for the unusual noise tonight. They are 'renovating' Jebaliya with tens of tons of explosives, and thanks to them it will look like it deserves to very soon - piles of rubble."

Earlier today, Major Hod Shriebman was killed in action and another wounded in northern Gaza, in an incident the IDF said it is investigating.
