The violin in Agam Berger's bedroom in Holon, Israel, will no longer sit untouched. After 478 days in Hamas captivity, the 20-year-old soldier and musician has finally returned home, marking an emotional end to her family's tireless campaign for her release.

Agam was among several hostages released today as part of ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Qatar and Egypt. Her return home marks a powerful milestone in the continuing efforts to secure the release of remaining captives still held in Gaza.

Early reports indicate that Agam maintained remarkable resilience during her ordeal, including her steadfast refusal to cook on Shabbat – a detail that had previously emerged and inspired many.

For Agam and her family, this nightmare is finally over. But her family notes that although "We can now begin the rehabilitation process, [our] rehabilitation will not be complete until all the hostages return home."
