Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boarded the Wing of Zion on Saturday night, departing Washington for Israel after a week-long visit.

Accompanying him was his wife, Sara Netanyahu, who had been in Miami for the past two months with their son, Yair. The prime minister did not respond to journalists' questions before takeoff.

Originally planned as a five-day trip, Netanyahu extended his stay in Washington into the weekend. During the visit, he met with President Donald Trump and senior members of his administration. In a joint press conference, Trump announced a controversial plan for a U.S. takeover of the Gaza Strip.
