Maglan Commando wounded in firefight with terrorists in Nur Shams

This incident marks the latest in a series of confrontations between Israeli security forces and armed terrorists in northern Samaria.

A soldier from the elite Maglan unit was moderately wounded today during an ongoing counter-terrorism operation in the northern Samarian town of Nur Shams. The incident occurred during an exchange of fire with armed terrorists, military officials reported.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, security forces have been conducting sweeps in the area as part of a broader operation to uncover weapons caches and dismantle terrorist infrastructure in northern Samaria. During the operation, Maglan commandos encountered armed resistance, leading to a firefight in which one terrorist was killed.

The wounded soldier has been evacuated to hospital for treatment, and his family has been notified of his condition. Military sources confirmed that an M-16 rifle, ammunition, and additional military equipment were recovered from the eliminated terrorist.
