An impossible situation
Family of freed hostage Yair Horn: "We're dying to ask about Eitan (Yair's brother still held in Gaza)" - but we've been told not to
Yair Horn's uncle reveals sleepless nights and cautious joy after Yair returned. But he added,"We celebrate, then go right back to fighting for those still there." Yair's brother Eitan is still held hostage in Gaza.

The family of Yair Horn has been given clear instructions: Don't ask him anything about his captivity.
"We're trying to feed him information 'with a spoon'," his uncle, Sergio Shmuel, revealed Monday in an interview with 103FM radio, describing his nephew's fragile state since his release from Hamas captivity on Saturday. "He still has difficulty speaking and telling his story."
Horn, 46, appears largely unaware of what happened in Israel during the months he was held in Gaza. His brother Eitan, who was visiting him at Kibbutz Nir Oz when Hamas attacked on Simchat Torah, remains in captivity.
"Obviously, we're dying to at least ask about Eitan," Shmuel said, his voice heavy with emotion. But the family adheres strictly to guidelines aimed at protecting Yair's recovery.
The uncle described the family's emotional whiplash: "We're euphoric. Today I finally managed to fall asleep with a smile." He paused before adding, "One night I couldn't sleep from anxiety, and after they returned, I couldn't sleep from excitement."
The celebration is tempered by the ongoing reality. "We celebrate," Shmuel said, "but then immediately go back out to continue fighting for Eitan and the remaining hostages."
Horn was released alongside Sagi Dekel-Chen and Sasha Trupanov after Hamas staged what they called a "demonstration" in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
