WATCH: IDF strikes Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists in Damascus
The IDF launched an air strike against the headquarters of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist movement in Damascus.

A short time ago today (Thursday), the IDF struck a Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist headquarters located in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
Watch:
The IDF continues to consider Syria a legitimate area for air strikes, even after and perhaps especially after the fall of Bashar Assad.
The Air Force has launched multiple air strikes since that time to entirely destroy the military assets and equipment belonging to Bashar Assad so that they do not fall into the hands of any hostile parties - including, in the eyes of the Israeli government, the central government of Ahmad "Julani" a-Sharaa.
These assets included tanks, weapons and missile stores, and - according to some reports - facilities for producing and storing chemical weapons.
The IDF is also continuing to launch strikes in Syria to degrade and destroy the assets of terrorist organizations based in Syria, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, both of whom have operatives and operations inside the country. The strike against the PIJ base today was one such operation.
Defense Minister Israel Katz released this statement following the strike:
"There will be no immunity for Islamic terrorism against Israel, neither in Damascus nor anywhere else.
"In every place where terrorist activity against Israel is organized, the leader of radical Islam, Jolani, will find Air Force planes circling above him and striking terrorist targets.
"We will not allow Syria to become a threat to the State of Israel."
