BREAKING: Suspected terror attack in Samaria, possible false alarm

Authorities and rescue service are reporting a terrorist attack near Elon Moreh in Samaria a short time ago today (Wednesday), though the investigation is still ongoing.

The target of the shooting attack has reportedly survived the attack.

According to Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh, the attack may have been meant as bait, with the IDF force coming to the aid of the target meant to be ambushed by the terrorists. He reports that large forces are now in the area, have cordoned it off, and are now searching for the suspects.

Authorities are also investigating the possibility that an internal Palestinian firefight "spilled over" into Jewish areas and created the suspicion of a terrorist attack.

Hatzalah Judea and Samaria reports that the alleged terrorist attack was a shootout between rival Palestinian families, and that the shooting reported by a Jewish settler was that and not a terrorist attack.
