New footage from security cameras in Shechem (Nablus) reveals the moments when an undercover unit of the Border Police, operating under the guidance of the Shin Bet and the IDF, eliminated the terrorist Rami Al-Kachun during a targeted operation in the city's kasbah.

In a joint statement published after the operation, the police, IDF, and Shin Bet noted that the undercover unit acted together with forces from the Samaria Brigade, based on accurate intelligence information from the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, with the objective of arresting a wanted individual associated with the terrorist organization "Lion's Den".

The eliminated terrorist, Rami Al-Kachun according to Palestinian reports, was involved in a series of terrorist attacks, assisted in arming and planned additional attacks. In a statement from the security forces, it was reported: The fighters arrived discreetly, identified the terrorist while he was armed and posing a threat to the unit, and as a result, opened fire and eliminated him.

He was found to be in possession of a pistol, magazines, and cash suspected to be used for terrorism, and a tactical vest was discovered in his vehicle. Along with the terrorist, another senior wanted individual was arrested and transferred to the security forces for interrogation.

During the operation, disturbances developed that included shooting and the throwing of explosives towards the unit, which responded by firing. Palestinians reported 41 injured in the confrontations.
