Tesla Terror: Driver Charged with Negligent Homicide After Smashing into Cafe and Killing Patron
State prosecutors have filed an indictment against a 52-year-old woman who accelerated her Tesla into a Kfar Saba cafe, killing Michael Waldman as he sat outside.

The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment on Sunday against a driver who crashed into a cafe, charging her with causing death by negligence. The driver accelerated her Tesla, crossed the road, and fatally struck Michael Waldman, of blessed memory, who was sitting outside the establishment.
The Tragic Collision
The Central District Prosecutor's Office submitted the serious indictment to the Central District Traffic Court against Edith Meir David, 52, from Kfar Saba. She is charged with causing death by negligence and reckless driving that resulted in property damage.
The fatal accident occurred in mid-October during the morning hours. David was operating a Tesla vehicle when she struck 52-year-old Michael Waldman, who was sitting outside a local cafe.
Unchecked Speed
According to the indictment filed by Attorney Nelly Moran Mani, the driver exited a dirt parking lot opposite the cafe and suddenly accelerated. The vehicle crossed the road at high speed. Without swerving or braking, the car struck Waldman with immense force. The vehicle continued forward, shattering the cafe’s glass windows and coming to a stop with its front half inside the terrace.
Following the severe collision, Waldman was critically injured and evacuated to the hospital while undergoing resuscitation efforts. Tragically, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The crash also caused significant structural damage to the business.
Legal Proceedings
The prosecution is charging the defendant with causing death by negligence and reckless driving. In addition to the criminal charges, the State Attorney’s Office has requested that the court disqualify David’s driver’s license until the end of the legal proceedings.
The trial will be held at the Central District Traffic Court to determine the driver’s responsibility for the fatal event.
May the memory of Michael Waldman be a blessing.
