Police officers in Yavne rescued a toddler locked inside a sealed car in the city’s train station parking lot, averting a potential tragedy.
Officers from the Yavne station in the Shfela District arrived within minutes of a call to the police emergency line and found the vehicle with the child inside. The toddler was in visible distress, with a flushed red face, and was clearly in immediate danger.
The officers smashed the car window and pulled the child out quickly and safely. The toddler was taken for a medical examination and is in good condition.
Police renewed their call for parents and drivers to stay extremely vigilant. They urged drivers to check that the vehicle is empty at the end of every trip, and never to leave children unattended in a car, not even for a moment.
