Pakistan's Army Chief Carried US Nuclear Ultimatum to Tehran, Al-Akhbar Reports

Pakistani army chief Asim Munir brought Tehran a final warning from Washington during his visit to Iran, Lebanon's Al-Akhbar reported. The United States demands that Iran concede on its nuclear program before any other step is taken. If it refuses, the United States will carry out large-scale attacks aimed primarily at the nuclear facilities at Pickaxe Mountain.

Tehran had already laid out a hard line to Munir. As JFeed reported on Tuesday, Mohsen Rezaee told the Pakistani commander that none of Iran's enriched nuclear material would be allowed to leave the country. He called the material a strategic asset and a national treasure, and said Iran would not return to talks with the United States until Washington met Tehran's conditions. The Abu Ali Express channel, the only outlet to carry those remarks, said Iran had set seven conditions. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf accused Washington of violating a memorandum of understanding.

Lavrov arrived in Tehran unannounced on Monday. He declared that Russia would not retreat from its "strategic relationship" with Iran regardless of external pressure. He added that Moscow was prepared to assist Iran in the same way the United States assists Ukraine.

Following Lavrov's visit, the Iranian leadership is also holding internal discussions over Moscow's role and over efforts to de-escalate.

In Jerusalem on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement that Iran is trying to restart its nuclear program.

"As long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons."

That evening, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth spoke for the first time about his unannounced visit to Israel. He said the US Central Command personnel he met there are "doing historic work to ensure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon."
