IDF fighters from the Gideon unit arrested a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative this week in a targeted daytime operation in Bethlehem. The 48-year-old suspect, who worked as a taxi driver, was involved in rebuilding the terror organization's infrastructure in the area, transferring terror funds, and planning attacks against Israeli targets, according to security officials.
The operation was led by the Etzion Brigade and carried out in close coordination with the Shin Bet security service.
