Israel is heading into an unseasonably hot spell over the coming days, with temperatures climbing sharply and sharav conditions settling over the country.
Thursday will be clear to partly cloudy with high-altitude cloud cover. Temperatures will rise and humidity will drop, especially in the hills and inland areas, making it hotter than usual for the season. From the afternoon, strong northerly winds will blow along the coastal plain, and haze is expected in the south.
Friday will be mostly clear. Temperatures will climb further, bringing heat that is unusually high for the season and reaching sharav levels in most parts of the country. The heat load will be felt more heavily. In the morning, strong easterly winds will blow in the north and the central hills. From the afternoon, strong northerly winds will blow along the coast.
