Hundreds of volunteers from Shomron communities arrived in the city of Lod today (Tuesday) as part of the V26 project and the "Saving the Right" joint headquarters, in a push to raise voter turnout in the elections. The volunteers are going house to house through the city's neighborhoods, urging residents to get out and vote in the hours remaining before the polls close.

Before heading into the field, the volunteers attended a briefing with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, Lod Mayor Yair Revivo, and Shomron Council deputy head Davidi Ben Tzion. During the briefing, volunteers received their assignments and were dispatched to neighborhoods across the city. After completing work in each neighborhood, volunteers return to headquarters for additional assignments.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar addressed the significance of the election in his remarks to the volunteers: "This day is about a Jewish state and the existence of the Jewish state. There are countries that want to impose sanctions on us and force the establishment of a Palestinian state. We need people who know how to stand up for our rights in Eretz Yisrael and for our interests. It depends on the work of all of us in the hours remaining until the polls close."

Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan spoke about the bond between Shomron residents and the city of Lod, which he said was forged during the Guardian of the Walls events in 2021.

"There is a covenant of brotherhood between us since the 'Guardian of the Walls' events in 2021, when people from Shomron came here, and you came to strengthen us at the start of the war. We are brothers and we are together," Dagan said.

He continued: "Hundreds of volunteers came here from Shomron and from across the country, and we are going house to house, apartment to apartment, and building to building. It is in our hands, we are not getting tired, and we are dedicating the remaining hours to bring the State of Israel four years of building the land, security, and national honor."

Lod Mayor Yair Revivo welcomed the volunteers and spoke about the city's development: "I assume you no longer recognize Lod. There are towers here, roads, and new parks. Eretz Yisrael is developing, Shomron is developing, the settlement enterprise is developing, and so is the periphery."

Revivo called on the activists to make use of the hours remaining before polls close: "We have a few more hours to act, and this is the time to go from house to house and get people out to vote. Lod and Shomron together, and with Hashem's help we will continue to see Eretz Yisrael developing."

Shomron Council deputy head Davidi Ben Tzion, who is coordinating the organizational operation in Lod together with Tzvi Goren, emphasized that the activity will continue until the final hours of voting.

"We have responsibility for Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael, there is no room for complacency or indifference. These elections are critical for deciding the war, for strengthening the settlement enterprise, and for our children's future. We are here in the city of Lod to go from house to house and tell Israelis: go to the polls now. It is a short and simple action, but its value is dramatic."
