Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party, addressed supporters Tuesday evening at party headquarters in Tel Aviv after exit polls showed his party falling short of the electoral threshold needed to enter the Knesset.
Winter speaks after falling below threshold
The Amcha Yisrael leader spoke to activists at party headquarters in Tel Aviv after exit polls showed his party failing to cross the electoral threshold. A senior coalition figure blamed him for costing the right-wing bloc seats.
Despite the disappointing result, activists at party headquarters were seen celebrating and dancing before Winter took the stage to speak.

Winter's statement came after a senior coalition official earlier blamed him for damaging the right-wing bloc's chances of securing a Knesset majority. "Given the large gaps between the exit polls, we will wait for the real results, but according to all the polls Winter has lost many mandates for the right," the official said. "If Winter had not insisted on running, the right would have won decisively."
