The IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, visited Northern Command and Division 91 on Wednesday, accompanied by Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, Ground Forces commander Maj. Gen. Nadav Lotan, Division 91 commander Brig. Gen. Yuval Gaz, and additional senior officers.

During the visit, Lt. Gen. Zamir held a situation assessment with Division 91, toured the al-Khiam sector, observed a demonstration of the 'Robotic Combat Team' model presented by the forces, and held discussions with brigade commanders operating in the division's sector.

Lt. Gen. Zamir told the assembled commanders: "Division 91 is the defensive front for the residents of the north, the division is advancing a forward defense concept on the communities' front line. The reality is constantly changing and developing, but our commitment is to establish a strong defense at the borders and safeguard the security of northern residents."

"We will not allow Hezbollah to establish terror infrastructure in the area. Any attempt by the enemy to establish itself, strengthen, or threaten northern communities will be met immediately and forcefully," the Chief of Staff said.

He continued: "During the war, Hezbollah proved once again that it is an Iranian proxy and not a 'Lebanese patriot.' Its actions harmed the interests of the state of Lebanon and its citizens. The IDF is prepared for developments in near and distant arenas and is ready to strike at any enemy that attempts to harm us, as we have done in the past."

Addressing the forces who demonstrated the new robotic capabilities, Lt. Gen. Zamir said: "Brigade 769 and the 869 Collection Battalion, you presented for the first time the 'Robotic Combat Team' model. The model reinforces the principle that the IDF stands before the civilians and the innovative concept whereby robotic and technological means are positioned ahead of and alongside the forces. In doing so, you increase operational effectiveness and strengthen the protection of our forces."

"Great appreciation for this. This is a significant leap forward, and I am impressed by the close coordination between Northern Command and the Ground Forces. I direct you to continue accelerating the processes for integrating robotic capabilities into combat forces, with the goal of creating operational advantage and superiority on the battlefield," he said.

The Chief of Staff concluded: "Throughout three years of fighting, Northern Command has fought, struck Hezbollah, and stripped it of many capabilities. If required, we will know how to deepen our achievements. Great appreciation to Division 91 and the forces operating in the area. The achievements you have led are a source of immense pride and will be etched in the IDF's legacy for generations."
