What do Trump and JD Vance know about Gaza that we don't?
We all wish the Israel-Hamas war was over. And Trump is certainly pushing for it. On the other hand, he has also pushed for the end to the Ukraine-Russia War and we all know what happened with that.
Earlier today, in an interview with Fox News, Vance said, "POTUS ... wants Gaza to be controlled by the people who live there, he wants the West Bank to be controlled by the people who live there and he wants the terrorist networks around the Israelis to be dismantled so they can no longer pose a threat to Israel, specially the innocent civilians who live in Israel.
It's never easy as we've learned in the Middle East over many years. This stuff comes in fits and starts and it can take very weird turns, but i think the president has gotten us to a point where we are at the one yard line and all of us are very hopeful we can punch through the end zone and accomplish a major major thing for peace in the region."
This follows Trump's earlier post on Truth Social, "We have a real opportunity for GREATNESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST," Trump wrote, claiming that "EVERYBODY IS ON BOARD for something special, for the first time ever ... "WE WILL GET IT DONE!!! President DJT."
According to Belaaz, "significant gaps remain with the Trump administration on the plan to end the war and free hostages, requiring adjustments before the White House meeting."
As a result, Netanyahu canceled part of his meetings in New York, including a public appearance at a JNS event.
Belaaz added that White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York later today to address remaining disputes between Israel and the U.S. regarding Trump’s 21 step plan to end the Gaza war and free the hostages."
