Following Home Front Command directives, the Ministry of Education has canceled physical classes at Yeshivas nationwide. Students are ordered home, with exceptions for students from abroad and those without family support.

The Ministry of Education issued an emergency directive Sunday ordering all Torah institutions nationwide to suspend in-person classes and send students home, in compliance with Home Front Command guidelines.

In official correspondence addressed to yeshiva heads and institution directors, the Ministry cited the ongoing security situation as grounds for halting regular academic activity and dispersing student populations.

The directive includes limited exceptions for students who lack a family support network, as well as those who have traveled from abroad. Institutions wishing to retain such students on-site are required to identify and prepare a designated shelter space and assess the available defense response time for on-site occupants.

Institutions housing remaining students must also ensure that official Home Front Command alert systems are operational, and that all on-site personnel are briefed and drilled on emergency protective procedures.

The Ministry stressed that full compliance with Home Front Command directives is mandatory and that strict enforcement across all affected institutions is expected.
